Woodland Manor (Hay River)
Philosophy of Care
Woodland Manor is a 15 bed long term care facility located at 52A Woodland
Drive in Hay River. Our aim is to provide individualized care for residents who
are no longer able to live independently in their own homes or with family and
require supervision in a safe, homelike environment. Residents requiring this
level of care have heavier care requirements and need additional nursing and
other support staff time and/or supervision. Care requirements for the function
deficits identified as needing this level of service result from multiple
medical diagnoses and/or moderate cognitive impairment. They may remain
independently mobile with multiple diagnoses resulting in significant physical
frailty, and/or severe cognitive impairment with behavioural problems and
require a heavier level of service and considerable more nursing and other staff
time. We strive to provide an enjoyable and comfortable homelike atmosphere that
promotes independence. We provide a secure facility for residents who are an
elopement risk.
