Philosophy of Care
Our philosophy is to provide balanced modern and traditional care, which is client-focused and adaptable to the region’s diverse needs as determined by the culture of our individual communities. Families are encouraged to become involved with their family member to promote an environment conducive to a healthy, balanced, happy individual.
Number of Beds
- 23 beds
- 2 respite beds
Our respite beds provide for temporary admissions for persons living in the community, allowing relief for family care-givers. Respite admissions can range from 1 day to a few weeks.
Services Available
The inpatient program provides care for residents who have substantial physical and/or mental functional disability that require daily treatment or supervision by nursing staff or other trained staff, such as rehabilitation or nutritional services.
The Elderly Day Program focuses on the social, rehabilitation, and activity needs of people in our community. Residents of our long-term care facility also join in these activities.
A chapel is included in this component for the use of the residents and all other patients, family or visitors from the whole IRHSSC.
