Philosophy of Care
The
Extended Care Unit sets optimal standards of care to maintain and enhance the
resident’s quality of life, promote a social model of care and strive, with
appropriate support services, to ensure that resident goals and objectives are
identified and addressed. Our unit promotes the dignity and worth of all
residents; and provides for their physical, emotional, social, spiritual and
intellectual needs through an interdisciplinary team approach. We strive to
maintain quality of the home-like environment that is safe, comfortable and
supportive.
