Rehabilitation Services
Rehabilitation services help people improve and maintain their independence if they have an injury, disability, or chronic disease. There are four main types of rehabilitation services:
- Physiotherapy - to assess, restore, and maintain physical function.
- Occupational therapy - to develop physical, cognitive, sensory, developmental, and/or psychological skills for independence.
- Speech language pathology - to overcome and prevent communication problems in language, speech, voice and fluency.
- Audiology - to detect and evaluate hearing loss as soon as possible, and recommend treatment.
