These help lines are for anyone who is having personal problems and wants to talk to somebody.

Trained volunteers answer the phones and will be able to talk with you about your problems.  Your call will be completely confidential which means no one will know that you have called and talked about your personal problems.

Alison McAteer House Crisis Line

24 hour crisis and support counselling for women who have experienced violence.

Emergency Protection Order

24 hour access to an emergency order that will help keep you and your family safe from an abuser.

Holman Help Line

You can call this line if you are having personal problems.  Your call will be completely confidential, which means no one will know that you have called and talked about your personal problems.

NWT Help Line & HIV / AIDS Information Line

You can call this number if you are having personal problems or if you have questions or concerns about AIDS/HIV.  This line provides information, support, and referral services.  You can call between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. any night of the week.  Your call will be completely confidential, which means no one will know that you have called and talked about your personal problems.

NWT Seniors' Societies Information Line

Seniors and elders in the NWT can call this number to access information for their questions and concerns. 

Sutherland House Crisis Telephone Line

You can call this line collect from anywhere in the NWT if you are experiencing family violence.
