Mould and Air Quality
Water soaked walls, insulation, carpets and furniture make a good place for mould to grow. Some types of mould can cause the following health problems:
- respiratory problems;
- allergies;
- skin infections; and
- rashes.
Removal of water soaked items from the home, as well as drying the home should be done as soon as possible after flooding to help reduce mould growth.
| Note: | Obtain approval from assessors, insurance agents and other relevant agencies before discarding or destroying any furniture or equipment. |
