National Addictions Awareness Week - November 15-21, 2009

In support of “National Addictions Awareness Week” on November 15-21, 2009, we celebrate healthy choices and lifestyles.

Every year, in the third week of November, National Addictions Awareness Week (NAAW) is observed across Canada to gain awareness and understanding of addictions.  The NAAW campaign slogan is “Living the Good Life” as it promote addictions free lifestyles for individuals, families, and communities.

Who can I talk to for help with my addictions?

  • To find out who to call in your area in the NWT for counselling and help with addictions, please click here.
  • You can also contact the NWT Help Line 1-800-661-0844 toll-free or for Yellowknife 920-2121 for support, information and, if necessary, referral to a local community or social service agency.
