Medical Students and Residents
Bursary Awards
Students must be enrolled in professional and recognized programs in Canadian universities and colleges, and be planning to return to the NWT to practice upon graduation.
Students may be enrolled in full-time or part-time education programs that are campus-based or distance education.
Priorities include:
students meeting GNWT affirmative action priorities, and
students who have resided in the NWT for a minimum of four years immediately prior to starting their program.
A "return of service" is required and varies with the amount of bursary approved. See the bursary application forms for details. Contact the student support programs officer for more information on these programs.
