Respiratory Therapist

A respiratory therapist works with physicians and other health care professionals to diagnose, treat and care for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. 

Responsibilities include:

• monitoring vital signs;

• conducting diagnostic tests;

• performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation; and

• administering medical gases and aerosol therapy to manage and control breathing difficulties.
