The Community wellness worker (CWW) is a member of the community Counselling Program Team. The CWW is the team’s education, promotion and prevention specialist. The CWW is also trained to provide basic referral and counseling services.
In many cases the CWW is the first person a client will come in contact with. The CWW is responsible for accurately assessing the client’s needs and if necessary, referring them to the Mental Health and Addictions Counsellor who is the team’s clinical counselling expert.
